- Chapter 2 – Projections and Unitary Elements: Rodrigo Roemig
- Chapter 3 – The K_0 Group of a Unital C*-Algebra: Zoe Pronina
- Chapter 4 – The Functor K_0: Lorna Richardson

This reading group will be an introduction to the K-theory of C*-algebras. This is a powerful and widely used tool in operator algebra theory which associates certain invariants to C*-algebras. The aim is to follow chapters 1-4 and 8-12 of the book An Introduction to K-Theory for C*-Algebras by Rørdam, Larson and Lausten, with the aim to cover approximately one chapter per week.
Organizer: Lorna Richardson
When: Wednesdays 9am-11am
Where: Room 110, Mathematics and Statistics building, Glasgow, and online on request.
